We all know that bad habits – like sunbathing too much without protection, eating poorly or going to bed with make-up still on – cause our beloved skin to age prematurely. But are we sure we know the good habits that make our skincare routine a real daily anti-ageing treatment? No?! No problem, we’ll help you!

1) Listening to your skin 🥰

Even though you may have spent a lot of money on a well-reviewed cream, don’t stop at what others say, but pay attention to the reactions of your own skin. Is there redness, or do you feel a tingling or an itch? Stop using it immediately! These could be symptoms of an allergy or a minor irritation, and if you want your skin not to age prematurely, it is best to avoid skin irritations. Exceptions to this are of course products recommended by a dermatologist, which can be itchy because they contain a small amount of acid.

2) Always protect yourself from the sun ☀️

We’re sorry, we know people are tired of hearing this by now, but the first (big) trick to a better skincare that really helps against cellular ageing of our skin is still to protect yourself from the sun’s rays. And be careful: we’re not just talking about holidays, but every day.

We know that UVA rays are strongest between 12 and 14 o’clock on summer days, but – unfortunately – their negative effects can also be felt when, apparently, the sun is not shining.

3) Preventing expression lines

Nose-labial wrinkles, the curl on the upper lip for those who – ouch! – have a smoking habit, the line on the forehead for those who frown frequently. Our face shows the use we make of it, creating wrinkles in the places where we most often ‘bend’ our skin.

What to do? Since it is under extra stress, compensate with extra nutrition. You can apply eye cream to all sensitive areas, or do the same with night cream.

4) Healthy eating 🥦🍋🥕🍅

Yes, skincare must also include a healthy diet. Several studies show that a diet rich in fruit and vegetables – fresh, avoid sugar-filled juices! – counteracts the natural ageing of our skin. Avoid sugars as much as possible, which, on the contrary, accelerate ageing, as does alcohol, which also causes dehydration.

Another fundamental aspect is hydration: drink 1.5 to 2 litres of water a day! The thirst stimulus can be trained, the more I drink, the more I will drink.

Here they are, the vitamins you must not let your skin lack:

– vitamin C = involved in collagen synthesis (broccoli, basil, spinach, citrus fruits and tomatoes);
– vitamin A = fat-soluble vitamin found in eggs and dairy products;
– beta-carotene = plant pigment that is a precursor of vitamin A, found in cereals, carrots, apricots and pumpkin (which is not in season, but we recommend freezing one already cut up in autumn).
– vitamin E = olive oil, a powerful skin decongestant and anti-inflammatory.

5) Learning when to clean your face 💦

Good facial cleansing is essential to eliminate impurities that prevent the skin from breathing and dehydrate it, not to mention the residues of pollution that are responsible for cellular ageing. But be careful: don’t limit yourself to washing your face only in the morning and evening. Do it, as you do your hands, whenever it is dirty (or whenever you can). In particular, after a workout, or if you have been sweating in general, wash your face immediately as sweat has an acidic pH which can damage and irritate your skin.

6) Knowing how to clean your face without ‘ruining’ it

Warning: although cleaning your face is important, you need to be able to do it properly. Too aggressive cleansing damages the skin by creating micro-lesions and dehydrating it. Today we are seeing an increasing use of acid-based products, and it is not uncommon to find small doses of salicylic acid in cleansers. But this only makes your skin weaker, especially if you don’t really need it. What to do instead? Use gentle cleansers, micellar water and oil-based make-up removers, for example, and wash with your hands or a microfibre cloth. Then immediately restore the hydrolipidic film by applying an anti-ageing moisturising cream.

7) Always use the right products 

There is a specific skincare for every age. The needs of 25-year-olds are different from those of 40-year-olds, and you need to adjust accordingly. But there is one golden rule that should apply to everyone: do your homework and buy only the best anti-wrinkle creams. There are so many creams on the market today (perhaps too many), from organic to those with silicones that have a filling effect or soften the texture of the skin. It doesn’t matter which one you choose, the important thing is that it is of good quality. Poor quality creams often contain a very low dose of active ingredients, too low to be really effective. In short, money down the drain.

A face serum, for example, is a product that should be applied immediately after toning and just before applying the treatment cream. In many cases the serum can be a pleasant substitute for the face cream, especially in the summer when the heat sets in.

This product should be applied in drops and massaged into the face with small circular strokes, insisting on the parts of the face most subject to the action of free radicals, such as the oval, the eye and lip contours. Be careful not to bring the product close to the eye because face serums are not usually formulated to be applied to such delicate areas. Simply dab it into the eye area where the bones of the eyeball are located.

Applied in the morning and evening, the face serum will not delay in giving excellent results, a more toned, hydrated, nourished, elastic and compact skin.

There is a desire to shine, yes, but with a less demanding cosmetic approach. It is the triumph of Skin-Minimalism, or rather a few essential gestures for a relaxed result.

Wir alle wissen, dass schlechte Angewohnheiten – wie zu viel ungeschütztes Sonnenbaden, schlechtes Essen oder mit noch aufgetragenem Make-up ins Bett gehen – unsere geliebte Haut vorzeitig altern lassen. Aber kennen wir auch die guten Gewohnheiten, die unsere Hautpflegeroutine zu einer echten täglichen Anti-Aging-Behandlung machen? Nein?! Kein Problem, wir helfen dir!

1) Auf deine Haut hören 🥰

Auch wenn du vielleicht viel Geld für eine gut rezensierte Creme ausgegeben hast, solltest du dich nicht darauf beschränken, was andere sagen, sondern auf die Reaktionen deiner eigenen Haut achten. Gibt es Rötungen, oder spürst du ein Kribbeln oder Jucken? Höre sofort auf, sie zu benutzen! Dies könnten Symptome einer Allergie oder einer kleinen Reizung sein und wenn du willst, dass deine Haut nicht vorzeitig altert, ist es am besten, Hautreizungen zu vermeiden. Ausnahmen sind natürlich Produkte, die von einem Dermatologen empfohlen werden, die juckend sein können, weil sie eine kleine Menge Säure enthalten.

2) Schütze dich immer vor der Sonne ☀️

Es tut uns leid, wir wissen, dass die Leute es mittlerweile satt haben, das zu hören, aber der erste (große) Trick zu einer besseren Hautpflege, die wirklich gegen die Zellalterung unserer Haut hilft, ist immer noch, sich vor den Strahlen der Sonne zu schützen. Und Vorsicht: Wir reden hier nicht nur vom Urlaub, sondern von jedem Tag.

Auch im Winter, selbst wenn es regnet, solltest du eine Creme mit LSF 50 auftragen (je nach Farbton deines Fototyps). Wenn deine Haut bereits fettig ist und du sie nicht zu schwer machen willst, kannst du auch schützendes Wasser finden. Wir wissen, dass die UVA-Strahlen an Sommertagen zwischen 12 und 14 Uhr am stärksten sind, aber – leider – sind ihre negativen Auswirkungen auch zu spüren, wenn die Sonne scheinbar nicht scheint.

3) Ausdruckslinien verhindern

Nasen-Labialfalten, die Locke auf der Oberlippe für diejenigen, die – autsch! – rauchen, die Linie auf der Stirn für diejenigen, die häufig die Stirn runzeln. Unser Gesicht zeigt den Gebrauch, den wir von ihm machen und erzeugt Falten an den Stellen, an denen wir unsere Haut am häufigsten “verbiegen”.

Was ist zu tun? Da sie unter besonderem Stress steht, kompensiere das mit zusätzlicher Ernährung. Du kannst alle empfindlichen Bereiche mit Augencreme eincremen oder das Gleiche mit Nachtcreme tun.

4) Gesundes Essen 🥦🍋🥕🍅

Ja, zur Hautpflege muss auch eine gesunde Ernährung gehören. Mehrere Studien zeigen, dass eine Ernährung reich an Obst und Gemüse – frisch, vermeide zuckerhaltige Säfte! – der natürlichen Alterung unserer Haut entgegenwirkt. Vermeide so weit wie möglich Zucker, der im Gegenteil die Alterung beschleunigt, ebenso wie Alkohol, der ebenfalls zur Dehydrierung führt.

Ein weiterer grundlegender Aspekt ist die Flüssigkeitszufuhr: Trinke 1,5 bis 2 Liter Wasser pro Tag! Der Durstreiz kann trainiert werden, je mehr ich trinke, desto mehr werde ich trinken.

Hier sind sie, die Vitamine, an denen es deiner Haut nicht mangeln darf:

– Vitamin C = beteiligt an der Kollagensynthese (Brokkoli, Basilikum, Spinat, Zitrusfrüchte und Tomaten);
– Vitamin A = fettlösliches Vitamin, das in Eiern und Milchprodukten enthalten ist;
– Beta-Carotin = pflanzlicher Farbstoff, der eine Vorstufe von Vitamin A ist und in Getreide, Karotten, Aprikosen und Kürbis (der im Herbst nicht Saison hat, aber wir empfehlen, einen bereits aufgeschnittenen einzufrieren) enthalten ist.
– Vitamin E = Olivenöl, ein starkes abschwellendes und entzündungshemmendes Mittel für die Haut.

Extra-Tipp: füge deiner Ernährung eine gute Dosis Protein hinzu, um die Kollagenproduktion zu unterstützen.

5) Lernen wann du dein Gesicht reinigen musst 💦

Eine gute Gesichtsreinigung ist unerlässlich, um Unreinheiten zu beseitigen, die die Haut am Atmen hindern und sie austrocknen, ganz zu schweigen von den Rückständen der Umweltverschmutzung, die für die Zellalterung verantwortlich sind. Aber sei vorsichtig: Beschränke dich nicht darauf, dein Gesicht nur morgens und abends zu waschen. Mach es wie deine Hände, wann immer es schmutzig ist (oder wann immer du kannst). Insbesondere nach dem Training oder wenn du generell geschwitzt hast, wasche dein Gesicht sofort, da Schweiß einen sauren pH-Wert hat, der deine Haut schädigen und reizen kann.

6) Wissen, wie du dein Gesicht reinigen kannst, ohne es zu ‘ruinieren’

Warnung: Obwohl die Reinigung deines Gesichts wichtig ist, musst du es richtig machen können. Eine zu aggressive Reinigung schädigt die Haut, indem sie Mikroläsionen erzeugt und sie austrocknet. Heutzutage sehen wir eine zunehmende Verwendung von säurebasierten Produkten, und es ist nicht ungewöhnlich, kleine Dosen von Salicylsäure in Reinigungsmitteln zu finden. Aber das macht deine Haut nur schwächer, vor allem, wenn du es nicht wirklich brauchst. Was du stattdessen tun solltest? Verwende sanfte Reinigungsmittel, Mizellenwasser und ölbasierte Make-up-Entferner, zum Beispiel, und wasche sie mit deinen Händen oder einem Mikrofasertuch. Stelle dann sofort den Hydrolipidfilm wieder her, indem du eine Anti-Aging-Feuchtigkeitscreme aufträgst.

7) Verwende immer die richtigen Produkte 

Für jedes Alter gibt es eine spezifische Hautpflege. Die Bedürfnisse einer 25-Jährigen sind anders als die einer 40-Jährigen, und du musst dich entsprechend anpassen. Aber es gibt eine goldene Regel, die für alle gelten sollte: Mach deine Hausaufgaben und kaufe nur die besten Anti-Falten-Cremes. Es gibt heute so viele Cremes auf dem Markt (vielleicht zu viele), von Bio bis hin zu solchen mit Silikonen, die eine auffüllende Wirkung haben oder die Textur der Haut weicher machen. Es ist egal, welche du wählst, wichtig ist, dass sie von guter Qualität ist. Cremes von schlechter Qualität enthalten oft eine sehr geringe Dosis an Wirkstoffen, zu gering, um wirklich effektiv zu sein. Kurz gesagt, Geld zum Fenster hinausgeworfen.

Ein Gesichtsserum zum Beispiel ist ein Produkt, das direkt nach dem Tonisieren und kurz vor dem Auftragen der Pflegecreme aufgetragen werden sollte. In vielen Fällen kann das Serum ein angenehmer Ersatz für die Gesichtscreme sein, besonders im Sommer, wenn die Hitze einsetzt.

Toner and cleansing milk have always been considered the perfect couple to give your skin softness, tone and radiance thanks to the combined action of their principles. They will take care of you right from the start.


But is there a timeline to make the best use of them? How do I use the toner? Do I need to rinse it out? What about the cleansing milk? Does it replace make-up remover?

We will answer all these questions, but first, it is important that you recognise your skin type: oily, normal or dry!

When should I use them? Morning and evening would be perfect.

In the morning, it is necessary to remove the metabolic waste produced by the skin that has regenerated during the night.

While before going to sleep, cleansing is necessary to remove residues of sebum, smog, and any traces of make-up left after applying make-up remover.


Cleansing your face is an essential step if you want to have toned, healthy-looking skin with tightly closed pores.


Apply cleansing milk over your skin to finish cleaning and to prepare it for your toner (cleansing with or without water? It depends: sensitive and easily reddened skin usually cannot tolerate tap water, which is much more tolerated by normal or oily skin. If you are one of the former, try using thermal water).


And as a final step, take a cotton ball or pad, pour in a few drops of your toner and dab gently on the most sensitive areas; vigorously on the cheeks and forehead.
